Story of Appreciation

One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.

He passed the first interview, the director did the last interview, made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV, that the youth's academic result is excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never has a year he did not score.

The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarship in school?" and the youth answered "none".

The director asked, " Is it your father pay for your school fees?" the youth answered, my father passed away when I was one year old, it is my mother who paid for my school fees.

The director asked, " Where did your mother worked?" the youth answered, my mother worked as cloth cleaner. The director requested the youth to show his hand, the youth showed a pair of hand that is smooth and perfect to the director.

The director asked, " Did you ever help your mother washed the cloth before?" The youth answered, never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books, furthermore, my mother can wash cloths faster than me.

The director said, I had a request, when you go back today, go and help to clean your mother's hand, and then see me tomorrow morning.

The youth felt that its chance of landing the job is high, when he went back, he happily wanted to clean his mother's hand, his mother feel strange, happy but mixed with fear, she showed her hand to the kid.

The youth cleaned his mother's hand slowly, his tear drop down as he did that. It is first time he found his mother's hand is so wrinkled, and there are so many bruises in her hand. Some bruises incites pains so strong that shiver her mother's body when cleaned with water.

This is the first time the youth realized and experienced that it is this pair of hand that washed the cloth everyday to earn him the school fees, the bruises in the mother's hand is the price that the mother paid for his graduation and academic excellence and probably his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother hand, the youth quietly cleaned all remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and sons talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office

The director noticed the tear in the youth's eye, asked: " Can you tell you what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered, " I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'

The director asked, " please tell me your feeling."

The youth said, Number 1, I knew what is appreciation, without my mother, there would not the successful me today. Number 2, I knew how to work together with my mother, then only I can realize how difficult and tough to get something done. Number 3, I knew the importance and value of family relationship.

The director said, " This is what I am asking, I want to recruit a person that can appreciate the help of other, a person that knew the suffering of others to get thing done, and a person that would not put money as his only goal in life to be my manager. You are hired.

Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates, every employees worked diligently and in a team, the company's result improved tremendously.

A child who has been protected and habitually given whatever he did, he developed "entitlement mentality" and always put himself first. He is ignorance of his parent's effort. When he started work, he assumed every people must listen to him, and when he became a manager, he would never know how suffering his employee and always blame others. For this kind of people, he can have good result, may be successful for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of achievement, he will grumble and full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parent, did we love the kid or destroy the kid?

You can let your kid lived in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experienced it. After a meal, let them washed their plate and bowl together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parent are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your kid learn how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learn the ability to work with others to get thing done.

Cahaya

Tahukah saudara semenjak Nabi Adam terkeluar dari syurga akibat tipu daya
iblis, beliau menangis selama 300 tahun.

Beberapa ekor
burung telah meminum air mata beliau. Burung itu berkata, "Sedap sungguh
air ini."

Nabi Adam terdengar kata-kata burung tersebut. Beliau menyangka burung itu
sengaja mengejeknya kerana perbuatan derhakanya kepada Allah. Ini
membuatkan Nabi Adam semakin hebat menangis. Akhirnya Allah telah
menyampaikan wahyu

Apa Yang Akan Ditanya :
Dalam sehari ada 24 jam. ? Dalam sejam manusia bernafas sebanyak 4320
kali.

Tiga Cahaya Di Hari Kiamat
air sembahyang apabila terdengar azan.

Malaikat Jibril bertanya : "Hai Huraisy! Engkau hendak ke mana dan siapa
yang kau cari?
"Huraisy pun menjawab, "Aku mahu mencari limaorang.

Perception

In Washington DC , at a Metro Station, on a cold January morning in 2007, this man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, approximately 2,000 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After about 3 minutes, a middle-aged man noticed that there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds, and then he hurried on to meet his schedule.

About 4 minutes later:

The violinist received his first dollar. A woman threw money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.

At 6 minutes:

A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

At 10 minutes:

A 3-year old boy stopped, but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head the whole time. This action was repeated by several other children, but every parent - without exception - forced their children to move on quickly.

At 45 minutes:

The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.

After 1 hour:

He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed and no one applauded. There was no recognition at all.

No one knew this, but the violinist wasJoshua Bell , one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before, Joshua Bell sold-out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100 each to sit and listen to him play the same music.

This is a true story. Joshua Bell, playing incognito in the DC Metro Station, was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment aboutperception, taste and people's priorities.

This experiment raised several questions:

*
In a common-place environment, at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty?

*
If so, do we stop to appreciate it?

*
Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made . . .

How many other things are we missing as we rush through life?

Dont Throw!!

DON'T THROW YOUR ATM RECEIPT AWAY

Since all of us have ATM card(s), I would like to share this important news. My friend saw a man at Novena MRT ATM trying to get all the receipts out of the ATM bin.
Please read the following message from a friend of mine, it's true. Please be careful, it’s not a joke....

Be careful when u draw cash from ATM with receipt complete with your account number.

Please never throw the ATM receipt in the public bin even if u used to tear it into small pieces before throwing it away.

Today, just got a call from my sister that she had lost all her cash from her account. She threw the receipt into the bin provided at ATM recently.

Luckily, she only has $633/= in her account.

Not much of suspicious when she was left with $11/= because she thought it was her petrol GIRO payment, however, that’s not true.. She only got to know it when the petrol company, Mobil cut-off the petrol card's transaction when she realized something is wrong.

After checking with the bank, she was told that now there is this syndicate who will pick up the ATM receipt & with their IT expert, they are able to draw out your money.

The bank will not be able to trace where these people had drawn the money & how they do it, don't ask me, even the bank can't answer it.

They can only advise you to report the case to the police for investigation. My sister is the third victim in this month

DON'T THROW YOUR ATM RECEIPT AWAY!

SEORANG DOKTOR NEUROLOGI MENEMUI KEAJAIBAN ALLAH .........

Assalam Mu'alaikum Wbrth!

Tazkirah Jumaat

Everytime you feel like you cannot go on
You feel so lost
That your so alone
All you is see is night
And darkness all around
You feel so helpless
You can’t see which way to go
Don’t despair and never loose hope
Cause Allah is always by your side

Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way

Everytime you commit one more mistake
You feel you can’t repent
And that its way too late
Your’re so confused, wrong decisions you have made
Haunt your mind and your heart is full of shame

Don’t despair and never loose hope
Cause Allah is always by your side
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way

Turn to Allah
He’s never far away
Put your trust in Him
Raise your hands and pray
OOO Ya Allah
Guide my steps don’t let me go astray
You’re the only one that showed me the way,
Showed me the way x2
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah we’ll find the way

A lesson in attitude

This is an abstract of a message from a Malaysian who was on a work assignment at VOLVO in Sweden.
Can this EVER happen in our place ?

“The first time I was in Sweden, one of my colleagues picked me up at
the hotel every morning. It was September, bit cold and snowy. We
would arrive early at the company and he would park far away from the
entrance (2000 employees drive their cars to work).

The first day, I didn't say anything, neither the second or third
day.
Then one morning I asked him, "Do you have a fixed parking space? I
notice that we park far from the entrance even when there are no other
cars in the lot."

To which he replied,
"Since we're here early we'll have time to walk,
don't you think that whoever gets in late will need a place closer to
the door?"

Imagine my face.”

Potential Frauds of New Electronic Technology

GPS
A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken into while they were at a football game. Their car was parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard.
When the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen.
The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then used the garage remote control to open the garage door and gain entry to the house. The thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to finish and so they knew how much time they had to clean out the house. It would appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents.
Something to consider if you have a GPS - don't put your home address in it. Put a nearby address (like a store or gas station) so you can still find your way home if you need to, but no one else would know where you live if your GPS were stolen.
MOBILE PHONES
I never thought of this.......

This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag, which contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet... Etc...was stolen.
20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened, hubby says 'I received your text asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago.'
When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account.
Moral of the lesson:
Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list.
Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mom, etc....
And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, CONFIRM by calling back.
Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you.

How thieves mark your house

This is taken from a newspaper article in local Chinese papers recently.
Take note of any unusual markings in front of your house.
It could be a code for these unsavoury people.

Translation:
[ + ] or [ - ] means Owner not in house during day/night
[ Θ ] means Staying alone or Renting
[...] means 3 family members staying
[√ ] means House has been broken in before
[ * ] means Target
[ X ] means Not Target, Not Safe

What do you do all day??

A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pyjamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and 20 wrappers strewn all around the front yard.
The door of his wife's car was open, and so the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.
In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, break fast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife.. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.
He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door.
As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys thrown over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and tooth paste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pyjamas, reading a novel.
She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went..
He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?'
She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?'
'Yes, ' was his incredulous reply.
She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it...'

Selamat Hari Guru

Darjah 1
Masa darjah 1 dulu, guru kelas adalah cikgu Noriah. Sebab masa tu kecik lagi tak banyak kenangan tentang cikgu Noriah. Satu yang dapat diingat, sebab masa tu aku ni kira terer juga belajar, ujian manjang no. 1, jadi bila satu hari cikgu noriah berbual pasal aku dengan cikgu lain, dan dia sebut pula dia tau rumah aku yang mana satu, rasa bangga kembang kempis pula time tu.

Darjah 2
Pun sama tak banyak kenangan tentang Cikgu Hapipah guru kelas 2 Hijau. Ada waktu kami semua bergambar kelas, bila siap gambar Cikgu Hapipah sedang tersengeh senyum lebar. Time tu dia salahkan ada cikgu lain mengusik-usik dia menyebabkan magnitud senyumnya luar biasa time bergambar tu.

Darjah 3

Darjah 5
Mrs. Kesavan dah lama aku kenal, seawal Darjah 1 mungkin. Puncanya, bila dia nampak aku masa kecik2 tu, dia spontan tanya, "adik F eh?". F tu abang aku. Lepas tu from time to time ada lah something yang dia tanya pasal abang aku ni. Aku pun naik heran kenapa dia macam lama kenal dengan abang aku hinggalah satu masa kemudian aku terjumpa repost kad abang aku time dia sekolah rendah.

Darjah 6
Cikgu Wong naik moto hondacub nya, seoarang yang sangat minat memancing. Hari Isnin, memang selalu dia akan share cerita dia pergi memancing hujung minggu sebelumnya dengan kami sekelas. Dia pun pernah datang tempat aku mencarik ulat sagu buat umpan memancing., kawan aku yang jadi tour guidenya. Satu yang agak pelik pasal Cikgu Wong, dia pakai baju yang sama, seingat aku tiap hari. Ada pernah Azlan kawan sekelas sound direct "kenapa sir Wong pakai baju sama hari-hari?". Sir Wong jawab "aiyahh, saya balik rumah saya suruh isteri saya basuh la"..

CERPAN (cerita panjang)

Esoknya saya tanya lagi.

Saya terkedu. Mama menyambung, “Sabri tentu ingat arwah ayah meninggal ketika adik masih kecil. Tanggungan kita ketika itu sangat berat. Duit pencen ayah memang sedikit dan tak cukup nak tampung hidup kita, Sabri ingat tak?” Mama mula menangis.

Saya tunduk. Selepas SPM Sabri ditawarkan menjadi guru sandaran, wang hasil titik peluh Sabri tu mama gunakan untuk perbelanjaan adik-adik. Satu hari Sabri bagitau mama Sabri nak melanjutkan pelajaran.

Saya bagaikan berteka-teki dengannya.

“Syukur kamu dah insaf.

Jadi, marilah kita sama-sama menginsafi diri.

Thought about men

Thought 1

When we are born, our mothers get the compliments and the flowers.
When we are married, our brides get the presents and the publicity.
When we die, our widows get the life insurance.
What do women want to be liberated from?
*******

Thought 2

The average man's life consists of :
Twenty years of having his mother ask him where he is going,
Forty years of having his wife ask the same question;
And at the end, the mourners wondering too.
*******

Thought 3

A Man was walking down a street when he heard a voice from behind, "If you take one more step, a brick will fall down on your head and kill you."
The man stopped and a big brick fell right in front of him. The man was astonished.
He went on, and after a while he was going to cross the road. Once again the voice shouted, "Stop! Stand still! If you take one more step a car will run over you, and you will die." The man did as he was instructed, just as a car came careening around the corner, barely missing him.
The man asked. "Who are you?"
"I am your guardian angel," the voice answered.
"Oh, yeah?" the man asked "And where the hell were you when I got married?"

*******

Thought 4

Everyone in the wedding ceremony was watching the radiant bride as her father escorted her down the aisle to give away to the groom.
They reached the altar and the waiting groom; the bride kissed her father and placed some thing in his hand.
Everyone in the room was wondering what was given to the father by the bride.
The father could feel the suspense in the air and all eyes were on him to divulge the secret and say something.
So he announced "Ladies and Gentlemen today is the luckiest day of my life."
Then he raised his hands with what his daughter gave him and continued, "My daughter finally, finally returned my credit card to me."
The whole audience including priest started laughing.... ...... But not the poor groom!

heart of gratitude

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."

I wrote: "Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it."

Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have.. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…

And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

bukan tamak

Ikan: Kenapa kau pak Ali?

Ikan: Inikah kapak mu?

Pak Ali: Bukan.

Ikan pun menyelam lagi, dan kembali bersama kapak emas.

Ikan: Inikah kapak mu?

Pak Ali: Bukan, kapak ku buruk saja.

Ikan: Inikah kapak mu?

Pak Ali: Ya, itulah kapak buruk ku.

. Maka datanglah Ikan Mas...da lagi kepada Pak Ali..

Ikan: Kenapa kau bersedih?

Ikan: Inikah isteri mu?

Sambil menangis Pak Ali menjawab... "ya, itulah isteriku.... "

Pak Ali teruuss...menangis. ..!!!
